Cheryl LaBahn Simeone
My hometown is Amsterdam, NY. I received a B.A. in Fine Art and Education from Johnson State College, Vermont in 1971. I also 30 earned graduate hours at S.U.N.Y. Cortland in Art and Education. I was a teacher in NY State K-12 Art.
I have received numerous awards both for studio work and recently 3rd place and 2nd place in Sacketts Harbor plein air competitions. My artist’s statement is that I like to paint Plein Air: outside in open air. I love nature and the elements and lighting of the atmosphere. I try to capture the lighting of the day in an impressionistic way. Website |
