Ellen Joyce Trayer
Ellen, jealous of her children's art work, tried her hand at oil painting in her mid-thirties. Loving the medium she managed to receive awards from The South Shore Art Association, The Winter Arts Festival and the East Islip Art Council.
Retiring to the Hudson Valley she joined the Wallkill River School and continued working in oil with Billy Noonan, then pastels with Dennis Fanton. For the last two years she has been doing Experimental Watercolor with Susan Hope Fogel. The scenery of the Hudson Valley is truly beautiful and her source of inspiration. The scene itself usually tells her which medium to work with. Website |
