Cascade Lakes by Chrissy Pahucki
This is a 11" x 14" original acrylic painting on canvas. It was painted en plein air (on location) in August 2014. I painted this as part of the Adirondack Plein Air Festival. Cascade Lakes, near Lake Placid are two long narrow lakes at the base of steep mountains. There is a small, very short stream that connects the two lakes that supports and abundance of wild flowers. The picnic area here is also the start of a trail leading up the mountain which is fantastic for rock collecting. It is framed with a 2 inch wide black modern wooden frame and is ready to hang!
